In the 60s, scientists had several hypothesis about how craters were formed. Some argued against meteorites, since the impactors might come in different angles, and so ellipses should be observed. Instead they are all perfectly circular bowls. This makes a lot of sense even today. Why are we blindly accepting meteorites?
Some craters have an elevation in the middle, which they say, is the molten magma from the impact solidified. But this makes absolutely no sense. They say lunar vulcanism consisted in slow-flowing magma fountains that formed the "maria". If maria are that plain, then lava must have taken a lot of time to solidify, and that is why it had time to settle in plain layers. But then a meteorite impacts and somehow magma comes out and freezes almost instantly.
inbf lunar volcanos, I know they exist. I'm not proposing any hypothesis, I'm just calling bullshit on the currently accepted one because it defies reason.
