Anyway, the difference is that your beliefs aren't things you can prove. Evidence is nice, but the reason I use words like "prove" is because I can actually prove the things I know. Not just by gesturing at evidence, but by showing my complete chain of reasoning. When you don't listen to the full argument, you're shown, to everyone else, to have failed. I'm still willing to hear every possible argument anyone who's posted here can construct, despite obvious slander.
What words do you have to convey willingness?
