Is science going through a pre-Kantian dogmatic phase? New theories seem to become more and more speculative and based on nothing but mathematical hypothesis, while young physicists become more and more philosophically illiterate which leads to them inventing and dogmatically believing in absurd metaphysical theories without knowing the difference between rationalist speculation and empirical science. How much comes from a psychological/aesthetic obsession with scifi and should their be less of an absolute belief in authority and more rigorous scepticism?
