You probably fucked up the fan. My guess would be, your computer heats up, the fan starts going fast, the computer cools down (below the threshold), the fan slows down (causing the click), and then the computer heats up.

Unless the clicking is more regular, and you can only hear it at the 4th to 8th second. In which case its just your fan hitting something inside your laptop
