Anyone know if there are any papers out there that looked at trying to predict accurate protein translation levels via transcript data?

Obviously not all mRNA becomes protein, and this is a very common observation when doing stuff like RNAseq or qPCR and then doing a westernblot. I'm just curious if anyone has done a study where they "predicted" the outcome of protein expression via observed transcript data (ie. we see that there is 500 mrna for protein 1, and 10 of sirna transcript that eliminates it, thus there is effectively only 300 mrna for protein 1 and there is only 5 transcript for its relevant ribosome/trna, thus, we assume only 10 protein is produced- and behold we're +/- correct)
