Biologically, females have adapted to memorise the exact way something is in order to take care of the children. Meanwhile, men are trying to be innovative and UNDERSTAND the thing, NOT just learn it for the sake of learning it for a test and then forgetting about it.
Now, the reason even men are trying to do short term memorising in schools holds it's core to the way the system is, if it wasn't so, they would understand the thing, even if they didn't know it 100%. Moreover, many teachers are females and they act impulsively in a great number of situations.
Information in schools is served for you to learn, NOT for you to understand and learn. That's what they elevate, robotic learning of the text.
Also, the grading system is bullshit because many teachers aren't objective in the way they serve grades.
