Never. The algae in my basement-room produces enough oxygen, and the UV lamp feeds my skin.
I am provided sustenance by potato chips and diet soda.
My couch/bed/desk still functions and my pc provides me with all the simulations of nature and social interaction my brain requires.
I have made friends with the insects down here.
The toilet still works and I have no need for a shower since I don't go outside.

All of the dynamical simulations by William G Hoover are tractable by anyone with a computer, and have some crazy cool implications in thermodynamics. Playing around with these simulations is:

I'd recommend it to anyone. Already published a few papers by just simulating some stuff.

I was trying to construct a very exoctic sequence, but became limited by the precision of floats. Basically the sequence is as it follows:

a0 = 0.5
an+1 = get the nth+1 digit to the right of the comma. If it is even, return an - an/2, otherwise an+ an/3.
