Concerta doesn't work - No ADHD?

Long story short: adult, diagnosed with ADHD, I started a month treatment with Concerta and increased the dose every week (18, 27, 36, 54).

No improvement in my (short) concentration span. I had some stomach discomfort.

Does that mean that I don't really have ADHD or maybe I need a different drug?

You lack discipline. Try a different medication and start meditating regularly.

I have it all. I can sit for hours but those hours are inefficient.

Took 72 on my own today and it was the first time I could concentrate. Not sure if it was placebo.

That's not discipline, that's you being too lazy/distracted to stand up and permit normal blood flow to your extremities on a regular basis.

If your time is being spent inefficiently, you're not exercising the discipline necessary to spend it well.

Meditate. Try different food and daily routines.

go talk to your physician. generally, shrinks run NDRIs as initial tx, due to lower/no abuse potential of e.g. concerta, bupropion. there are other treatment options.

Do you really believe your ADHD diagnosis? Drop the meds and learn to focus naturally. You can do it. Meds are the easy way out but they don't fix the problem, which is only fixed with focus.

i took concerta and it worked for me. I was given straterra as an adult, it worked well be made me feel high, now i just cope with adhd symptoms.
