>>12402509Interstellar lost me when they tried to tie love into some kind of FTL travel shit, at least they saved that BS until the end when all of the good stuff could overshadow it.
That cringy quote they kept shoehorning in didn't help.
The best part was seeing Cooper break down after seeing his children out age him, it really emphasized the reality of time dilation and the acting was 10/10. It was a good exploration of the concept of time dilation. The music was phenomenal too.
The Mat Damon part was weak imo, I have more faith in their selection process to have vetted someone that physiologically unhinged from being a part of the mission. It seemed like such a cheap path for the movie to go and didn't make much sense to me, it seemed more like filler. What was Mat Damons plan? Did he think he'd be welcomed back to earth after sabotaging the mission? He didn't even know how to operate the ship (as shown by him killing himself with it) Not something I can picture a lead scientist of the most important mission of mankind overlooking. He would also have to wipe all of the data from the AI and any data collected from his planet or else they'd figure out what he'd done. And I'm pretty sure it was suppose to be a one way trip for him so they'd have serious questions as to why this guy returned and everyone else somehow died. Either way he was going to be in prison or dead so his whole character arch was stupid.
The 4th dimensional future humans using a childs bedroom to save the species was also retarded.
