>>12400724Apparently it actually stemmed out of the Manhattan Project. Aside from stuff like Teflon and Freon, the refinement of uranium coincided with the dawn of fluorine chemistry. So there was a great deal of interest in the biological effects of the fluorine compounds (hydrogen fluorine, uranium hexafluroide, fluoride salts) as people were working with it and they were covertly venting it into the open air in residential areas, dumping it in waterways, etc. Many tests were done, Sloan-Kettering and others reviewed the literature from China (1930's) showing reduced intelligence, skeletal fluorosis, etc (probably Rockefeller sponsored). There's ADA and EPA involvement later, not entirely sure how it all came together as such, they guinea pigged low income blacks first via special clinics before fluoridating the water supply proper, some say city water fluoridation folowed the spread of the race riots though I haven't looked into that. Simultaneously you have the beliefs that the Germans and Soviets fluoridated the water given to their prisoners. And lastly, mechanized farming (phosphate fertilizer) and aluminum refinement increased in scope, so they needed to cheaply get rid of their waste.
All the pieces come together. How precisely was it orchestrated? Don't know. But the case for incompetence is fairly thin when you looked at the whole picture.
