There's no drive to protect and serve the people, only to make money, so the health and well-being of the citizens isn't considered a priority. The only priority is opening shit up as quickly as possible. If US actually cared about its people we could have eliminated the virus months ago, but businesses would have had to shut down for 2-3 weeks losing money, and of course we can't have that.
