Hi guys, serious discussion. Influenced by threads like this >>12381690 and "publish or perish" aphorism and frustrating essence of academia and former scientists that became Software Developers.

So thinking about this, I have a idea, that maybe we need some kind of organization or a number of decentralized groups of people, who half time works as remote coders, and other hald time as styding and making science reaserchers. Ration of work can vary. So you make money, part of which will be spent on your reaserch you do in free time. I think it can be attractive for former scientists who disappointed in academia and lack of funding and grant and coders who want to do scientific reaserches. Is there similar thing in the world?

For example I've been working as coder 2 years, after school. But recently I got passionate about molecular biology and I'm gulping down science papers and wikipedia, googling unknown terms. But in order to get into science and work in labs at real level, one needs 6-8 years of education. And it's not guaranteed that you can reaserch what do you want. And you maybe have to suck up to superiors. But if there were above organization, I try to work in it.
