Hey guys, I am a physics guy taking A -level IGCSE. I am very interested in Chemistry as i have not took it but i want some sort of textbook so i can get a basic idea on what’s it about and all.

Underage but I'll ignore it. You should get school textbooks from your local library, or outright buy them. They will be packed with history of chemistry and examples of this stuff in real life and industry. Also it will teach you chemistry.

Learn from khan academy too and start with basic textbooks then work your way up. If you ever reach the stage alone where the school textbooks are no longer a challenge, then you are probably interested and good enough to actually go out and study chemistry. Start with textbooks and the rest of the path lies ahead.

Chemistry: The Central Science by Brown, LeMay, Bursten, and Murphy is a very good general chemistry book. You can get it on Library Genesis.
