To put it simply.
See, this chart is a great example of woo being peddled and believed by people who want to further their own biases and prejudices. It is actually easily debunked and has been before. But it is great to present to the non scientifically minded because they see charts and "Data" and assume that the result shows some very clean science on the matter. But what they don't recognize is cherry picked and cooked data, altogether made up statistics, false positives and implied correlation when non exists. It is dead easy to convince those with a predisposition towards those biases and prejudices. And that in and of itself it worrying.
