What is the point of space researches?
I mean, all "cool" countries try to do that but... Did we managed to synthesized any new materials? Did we found any new technologies? Did we found any actual useful data that we could find by staying on Earth and using telescropes or something?
For me it seems like literally nothing happened. Tons of money are going into nothing.

What is the point?
