Absolutely. They need to properly fund the program, though. SLS should have enough money in the current budget to fly, but HLS is still lacking funds.

Obama-Biden hated manned space flight and NASA in general. Biden-Harris will be more of the same. NASA will fly 747s around the atmosphere for global warming research and maybe make an appearance at a couple of air shows in the Middle East. That's what the future holds for NASA.

The main problem here is that NASA is beholden to the government's ever-changing whims. Do you really think the genuine geniuses at NASA (>inb4 nobody at NASA is intelligent) picked the SLS design? No, the government said "we want this retarded design, make it work and waste billions on it" and so that's what NASA had to do. This is the real advantage that private has over public right now. If NASA is just given a mission without the ridiculous congressional oversight then they can get from "no crewed spaceflight" to "robust infrastructure to put a man on the moon" in about eight years since that's literally what happened in the 60s.
