Can someone give me a one paragraph explanation of how mRNA vaccines work?
I took micro biology classes for four years in college so I will understand a lot of the basics, like what mRNA and antibodies do, but I don't understand how a vaccine using mRNA as its active mechanism would work.
I can make assumptions- I'm guessing the mRNA survives long enough to be used as a basis to make something for the immune system to learn from- but I don't like to make assumptions and would like to really get it.
A lot of academic papers I've read on this were way too technical for me to really get it and I'm not satisfied yet.
