My wife is Chinese, so I've been learning Chinese for about 6 months now. I've learned the grammar and have read several beginner books in Pinyin, so I'm feeling ready to start learning hanzi and prepare to read some real books.

My wife knows very little about ancient literature, which is what I'm interested in. I know Ancient Chinese will be too difficult for me to understand, but I can still read modernized Chinese translations of them. I'm mostly interested in philosophy, history, and math. What should I read?
