CS math double here. These aren't really skills - they're tools everyone can pick up. Yes, there's some nuance to their use, as there is nuance to the use of tools, but they are not really a study unto themselves. The most salient talents you can have are problem solving in the abstract (which in CS is legitimately mathematics and science) and practical engineering experience applying that problem solving.

This is more evident in graduate level CS, which is itself just mathematics and engineering depending on whether you go to theory or systems respectively.

CS is basically engineering mathematics. Not to be mistaken with engineer's mathematics.

CS bachelors don't learn these skills. most schools teach like one or two languages just so they can do practical CS but they don't teach them thoroughly because they are only interested in applying CS, not software engineering. these are techincal skills that you learn on your own time. Tons of highschoolers know all of these things, a math major can easily learn them too and math majors actually can get a cooding job just as easily as a CS major.
