I presume the uranium is pure and has the same isotope ratios as regular uranium

Nah, I'm pretty sure the inner core is pretty much entirely nickel-iron with a smattering of lighter elements.

I think it's more the fact that heavy elements like uranium are incredibly rare, so they constitute an exceptionally small proportion of the core.

Uranium has a density of 19 g/cm^3, which is anywhere from 1.46x to 1.9x as dense.
So the increase to the Earth's mass is anywhere from 41.18% to 85.5%.
This would have gigantic consequences.

Dude they’re rare because they have a high atomic weight and therefore sink faster than iron and nickel, so the core is a shitload of heavy elements with some iron and nickel in there too.

Is it possible for any planet to have a uranium core?
I imagine you could have molten rock planets far away from its star with high gravity.
Perhaps high enough to have large moons.

What makes you think the core is iron, did you read it in a book.
The core would be heavy metals undergoing nuclear reactions.
The core is hot just like a nuclear meltdown, because it is a nuclear meltdown.

We have a good idea of the structure of the earth based on measuring and analysing seismic waves passing through it. In turn we have a good idea of what the core is made of (iron and nickel) based on our accurate measurements of the density of the earth. The core has to be iron and nickel because nothing else matches the correct density.
