i am far from being one of you nerds, but i have been thinking about something. bacteria reproduces quicker than humans, right? and you can also grow your own bacteria cultures and stuff. i was thinking; couldn't you by putting the bacteria through different conditions cultivate certain evolved traits? if this is so, what is the bare minimum of equipment needed for this?
