That's called triaging. This is the ER after all. I don't know how ER docs operate but I'd hazard a guess she's probably practicing her triage skills by doing as many patients as she can as quickly as she can, so when the shit hits the fan and a literal bus load of patients walks in the door she has the skills to work through them quickly and efficiently.
Just focus on the work OP. You'll develop the muscle memory and get better with practice.

Once you're working the night shift you realize you must be extremely efficient to get rid of the patient and do the rest of the shit to have some sleep. You must develop some intuition to what's going on, understand physiology and semiology well to make an image of the deal while the patient talks and you must make concise relevant questions about it. Filling a shitty survey won't do, and it's for this reason that CS niggers will never be able to replace medics.

Besides, in order to remember all about each patient you must get involved with them, something must click on you to remember them. And don't get so puzzled over this, this is a skill you have to earn in one fucking week of hard work if you want to survive. Or rather about a month, fucking up is normal.

Triage has nothing to do with it. It's a doctor's job to know what's going on with the 20 patients in his ward. The ER nigger has to do 60. The triage nigger only says who's admitted or not.

monkey-see monkey-do does not provide the necessary context of understanding which doctors are certified to have by their education and licensing. anyone can hang around a hospital for a week and learn to imitate the doctors, but those people shouldn't be treating patients. life expectancy in america started to decline only after women became a substantial fraction of the medical workforce.
