A couple of years I ago, I smoked a joint for my first time at a friends house. What followed was an experience similar to what people describe as a bad trip on psychedelics. Many traumatic experiences from my childhood, which I had seemingly forgot about up to that point, had 'resurfaced,' and I was thrust into a catatonic state for the rest of the time I was high. One particular aspect of that experience I remember was scary visual and auditory hallucinations. After the experience, I completely cut off connections with nearly all my friends and acquaintances, I completely gave up on school, and, essentially, and I've since locked myself from the world. What exactly happened to me?
