I’ve seen people on /sci/ talking shit about capitalism. Why? For those of us in applied science and medical fields, the ability to start your own business focused on your field and make good money is great. I’m a psychologist and I’m so glad that I have a completely autonomous practice. I can run experiments too, no need to be an academic or apply for grants. And the environment in my practice? More relaxed and more rewarding than a socialist university position. Capitalism has done nothing but reward me for my scientific inquiry, why don’t you embrace it?
