What is it? Where does it come from? Why is there a present moment? Is it infinite in the past and future, what happens if it isn't? Why does moving fast slow everything else down?

Any object that travels at c for at least one observer must travel at c for all observers. If c doesn't change, then the observers must change to match. Why c must be equal for everybody I don't know.

Time is a thing of awareness.
In the real world each particle evolves at different execution speeds.

The execution speed is inversely proportional to inertial speed, although that's not the whole picture.
When you move fast you're trading execution speed for inertial speed.

This makes a lot of sense in a cellular automata.

The fact c is constant in all frames is embedded in Maxwell's equations but no one noticed or overlooked what it meant for almost 50 years until Einstein came along and pointed it out.
