Like by absolutely all means it is great to catch the prof make an algebraic error and point it out, it helps the class, it can be funny to poke fun at the professor for 'forgetting' algebra, gives everyone an opportunity to contribute to discussion, etc...
But bros i cant listen to another guy make us spend what feels like ten minutes as he just assumes something totally incorrect or imprecise and then just marches off into neverland.
