Define Utopia. Pragmatically, how should it function?

Utopia seems, by definition, the end goal of the individual. As a society it seems like we are headed in that direction - but how to craft a utopia that works for EVERYONE?

But to answer your question, Aristotle defined "Eudaimonia", that is, the perfect society where happiness of its citizens is the main goal, which he defined as a society where everyone can fulfill their maximum potential as individuals.

Everyone has their own utopia in mind. It might be something one achieves and permeates the landscape with for a time, but it's temporary.

If you get a girl hivemind, you risk stagnation and hitting walls.
Radically new concepts come from radically different identities and backgrounds.
Hence why sincere diversity will always be maintained. You need only look to nature to see this process at play

Probably VR is the only solution without resorting to reductive Brave New World means. I can see achieving utopia by addition, you would have to reduce all members and narrow the spectrum of desire and identity to the point where a brittle and inflexibille system could perfectly provide for all.

Truthfully there would only be 1 way. Of making an honest utopia for everyone.

And that would probably be stopping all this fairness.. and create strict rules in areas. Except no rules that force people to stay there. ie passports.

Lawless areas. And just rpg's it all. See were it gets us. Imagine colonies of smart people working together to produce things with little to no red tape. Or smarts dooms day people trying to take over.

We all fear we will die on a daily/yearly basis.

And what's the difference between one person murdering. And 1000 people deciding to murder one person. That would still be the same except in the lawless area. As long as you didn't murder in a no pvp zone. All good.

But still might as well have fun with it. That's what it was all about until the past 500 years or so.

Seemed to work for a while.

Now.. pay to wipe your ass.
Pay to work.
Pay to sleep.
Pay to clean.
Pay to own.
Pay to to feel safe for something they may never come.

It like the episode of dragon ball z gt were they go to the hotel planet.

But meh.

You pay your landlord to tell you what to do. The senators get played to make rules for us to follow.
Same for mayors and presidents.

It's all kind of funny. Some days I just wake up and wonder what is the weirdest rant that may pop up today.
