Let's say a new language were to be created. How powerful is word similarity to forming associations in thought?
For example, if in a hypothetical language the words "blood" and "soil" were closed related, like they share the same root but differ by a prefix/suffix, would the speakers of said language be less open to immigrants?
Or if "peace" and "weakness" were related in terms of root words, would the native speaking populace be more jingoistic?
Are there any instances of this phenomenon in your language? I assume it might be more prevalent in older languages. But it could see use as a powerful tool in shaping public consciousness.
