i'm reading a book right now that attacks Louis Pasteur in its opening chapter.

the argument goes as follows.
>to prove germ theory of disease, you need to identify and then isolate the bacteria causing the illness, give it to someone healthy, and have them get sick from it
>Pasteur never did this
>subsequent scientists also don't do this
>therefore, the germ theory of disease is unproven

is this true?
