We bear a strong resemblance to our biological parents. Where is that information stored? Information such as bone structure etc. Is it possible to determine early during pregnancy which parent the baby will look more like? Thanks.

Thanks. I recently got into biology as a pastime during lockdown after speaking with a lab operator friend or mine. I have a lot to catch up on because I should've paid more attention in class. Turns out I find it very interesting.

I dont believe we are able to identify specific genes and their specific resultant features. If we could, maybe we would be able to tell from a zygote cell what the baby will look like.
