Does anyone here know anything about the neuroscience of goa trance/psytrance music?
I mean there has to be something going on with music that can make people's eyes roll into the back of their skull and make them lose their minds to the music in general at a level that doesn't happen with other genres, so consistently. What does it do to the brain that other music doesn't?
The only study I know of is this one, however it's way too limited in scope and sample size: https://akjournals.com/view/journals/2054/aop/article-10.1556-2054.2019.027/article-10.1556-2054.2019.027.xml
If you're unfamiliar with the genre, here is a classic sample: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xWmLC47JLM
