hey /sci/ematicians,
i'm looking for a good book or reference for how to properly name variables and general mathematical notation. i'm doing some unique stuff and never properly learned how to do this so i'd appreciate your help. specifically i'm trying to say $$x_{i-1,k}$$, so what i'm trying to say is element k of vector $$x_i-1$$. is this right?
