I'm about to fall for the coronavirus meme of buying an oxymeter to prepare for its eventual appearance.
Why are the prices 20-25 bucks up to 3 times for the same two basic options? Is there a brand to avoid? Can I share it safely? Frequence of usage?

They are pretty simple, don't get conned into buying a super expensive one. You can share it safely, simply disinfect with an alcohol wipe between use if you are concerned. Be sure to buy one that displays a pleth waveform to verify accuracy.

I've been using the same one for about five years. My typical level is 97% but when I had covid it hovered around 89%-92%. I'm back up to 95%-96%. Most people are typically at 99% during normal conditions and health. Not sure why 97% is normal for me.
