how many numbers pass from 0 to 8? You do not start at zero when counting.
An integer ending with 0 isnt a number, its just a placeholder for the base 10 number system.
for example, 10 isnt *really* a number, it is just a designation for one iteration of the (base 10) number system and so it represents, only ficticiously mind you, the imaginary value equivalent to 9+1. This value is simply "1 shifted to the left".
1 ... 9 are the numerals with a value. Now start over with 1, tack the non-value 0 onto it and you have completed a full iteration. You arent making the "number 10" here, but are shifting the "1" to the left on the x axis and simply using the "0" as a placeholder for an actual value
The next iteration starts at 11 and goes to 19, where now you increment the "shifted location" by 1 and tack on the 10. In essence you are iterating over a left shifting horizontal axis in order to "count".
Soon I will have finished my paper describing the base 0 number syatem, which consequently removes such subtleties as shifting states, iterating states and reseting states in this archaic base 10...
In short, With base 0, all numbers can be represented with the same number 0 and you simply annotate it with really small text (in english alphabetical) and spell out the number.
