>>12344328I've read Tooker's paper. The neighbourhood of infinity does exist. It is just that it isn't a clean extension of the normal numbers. Plenty of basic theorems and even arithmetic laws break down there so you can't just turn around and solve RH in the neighbourhood of infinity and then claim you solved the RH we care about.
Right now it is at most a nice curiosity.
