get a rhythm going by going to bed at exactly the same time every day, and waking up at the exact same time, including weekends
don't drink alcohol
only be in bed for sleeping, so no Netflix in bed
Don't use a digital screen some time before going to sleep
don't eat at least 2 hours before going to sleep

I'm not against pharmacological solutions if it can help, but these things worked well for me. probably the most important thing to do is to reduce stress
