Why do we give universities so many passes? First, it's an overpriced bloated mess only sustained by the fact private industry outsourced credentialism to it. Second, they have the dumbest, useless, sometimes psychotic and downright out-of-touch dinosaurs as "teachers" and 'role models". Professors are basically that one autistic kid you went to school with but now as an adult and with authority.

There are way too many shills when it comes to higher education. Professors and lectures are useless? That's just preparing you to be independent and face the real world! Getting railed on some cringe bureaucracy? Tough it out that's the real world! Why do people do this? Why can't they just say "Yeah it's fucking gay but what are you gonna do?". Face the facts: Some boomer autistic professor's 80 minute lecture is vastly inferior to some dweebs 10 minute Youtube video. You need books and resources? Yeah just fucking download it online why rent a book from the library or have the privilege to spend way too much money on textbooks? Like people are paying thousands of dollars just to get a credential. University objective provides minimal value at best. The only true value it can really provide is to serve as a breeding pit for horny 19 year olds, which has now been nullified because of covid.

All of the kino movies about university with the beautiful fall weather and the brightest young minds coming together to grow and blah blah blah is the biggest meme of the 21st century.
