When programing/ simulating large scale systems, should you give every single data point a code word?

For ex, if you want to model the cars on the road, starting with toyotas, would you want to represent each toyota as toyota_1, toyota_2, toyota_n? OR t_1, t_2,_t_n?.

Does it matter?

What i mean is whether later down the road it makes a difference for the programming language, program, etc? Id imagine as human language uses the same words for different things, i would eventually run into this problem down the road.

You'd make a class called Toyota with whatever properties you wanted, then enumerate a list of them. Naming them individually would take forever and be a waste of time.

not every "object" in a simulation has to have a name in the source code. You can do a simulation with millions of atoms (for example). They would all just be stored in some block of memory and then the program could loop over them
