Is the process of evolution a biological concept or an universal law of nature?
What is matter and how does our consciousness interact with it?
Will it ever be possible to researvh what happens after death, assuming anything happens at all? (no jannies, this is not a religion vs science thread)
Could we potentially be genetically modified to constantly feel like we are on some drug, just without the comedown, addiction and negative effects? After all it's "just" chemicals that influence how our brain works and these chemicals have undesirable side effects, so it should be possible to change how the brain works in a different way, right?
What is time and could it be possible that other lifeforms experience it in a different way, like a more conventional dimension that just extends the other three? My thought was that we evolved to experience time as we are because this is helpful for us, just like we experience only some colors.
All of these questions have been bothering me for some time now so I decided to note them and put them into one thread. Please pick one or two which you happen to know about and help me with understanding things a little more. Also feel free to point me to books or articles that discuss these questions if you want to.
>inb4 stupid question
I know. Please pick another one or leave the thread. I might not be very intelligent but I am curious and I think there have been even dumber questions posted on /sci/
>inb4 >>>/sci/sqt
I don't think this type of questions would be suited for that thread as each of them would be enough to have a whole thread about it, assuming I didn't overlook something simple and the answer is something like "no". For this reason I have compiled a list of multiple questions so there is hopefully at least one that interesting enough to discuss.
Thank you for your participation
