Also, depends on your working style. When coding, I listen to hardcore techno stuff, that somehow synchronizes my inner clock. Neophyte etc.
When concentrating on understanding something, classical music. Not Beethoven or Chopin though, that's too lively.
When doing an all-nighter, metal, especially hard metal. Death metal. Cannibal Corpse is interesting enough to wake me up from any down.
