In /sci/ we only are interested in facts, and facts can only be accounted for through perception. Therefore how the world "really is" is irrelevant. What matters is how we undertand and use it for practical purposes.

It’s not possible to see the world directly “as it is”, we can only perceive the user interface that our brains construct for us. Billions of years of evolution have optimized our perceptions for survival, not for seeing objective reality. A wavelength of light doesn’t “look like” anything, but when our eyes detect it our brains process it into color, which is a qualia and doesn’t physically exist

we experience the world artificially, like a computer monitor and speakers that just evolved themselves one day. the actual reality of existence is completely fucked, it's basically some abstract form of fluid dynamics in an unknown medium that might not even have any actual form to it.

Best I can offer: we certainly don't perceive reality exactly as it is (assuming it exists at all, which seems fair), but our perception likely isn't terribly far off from objective reality either.
