Strictly hypothetically speaking, could a virus be constructed in such a way that it only infects women (XX-individuals)? How could this be done without infecting men too?

I don't see how it'd be possible on a genetic level since men have an X chromosome too; but it should be possible to make it target female-specific tissues(i.e. related to ovaries) and thus harmless in men

I wonder if there is a way to make it dangerous to those low on certain chemicals, such as testosterone. But again, it could mutate and attack those with testosterone.

Pretty much this. Both women and men have one euchromatin X-chromosome, so the only thing I can think of is to construct a virus that is inactivated by natural products of the Y-chromosome. However, viruses can easily mutate to get rid of this blockade.

Don't viruses mutate easily due to them lacking the various proof-reading mechanisms that eukaryotes and prokaryotes have? Maybe one could introduce these mechanisms to the virus so that it gets a genome that isn't so prone to mutating.
