The one I hear from people sometimes is that bringing back an extinct animal could somehow also result in the resurrenction of some ancient devestating disease. This sounds like total nonsense to me because I don't know by what mechanism cloning an animal would also bring back some disease unless the individual cloned had some genetic disorder, let alone one which would then go on to have any effect on the world at large.
The cloeset thing I can think of would be cloned animals that can interbreed with close extant relatives, but then go on to produce offspring with some deleterious effect.
