Is psychology a legitimate science in any sense? If is not a fully fledged science, does it have scientific aspect which, in combination with its broader applications, render it a legitimate field of study? What did /sci/ think of psychology?

It's just full of people today who think they can know what a person thinks through body language. They also don't look at the person they talk to as a black box and try to understand their metacognitive problem, instead they look at what they read from their contemporady books and articles and just tell the person seeking help the same shit.

I try not to use the word science but it absolutely is a collection of observations that generally agree with one another and people make up these elaborate models that rarely agree with one another or are in fact the same but with different terminology.
