>>12327175Nobody, especially politicians, likes to admit they made a mistake. All of what has happened was justified by the numbers that came out of Imperial College's model. But it was wrong. Very very wrong. Criminally wrong. No one wants to admit that they accepted such a terrible faulty model as being true without any sort of verification.
That set us down the path we're on. Once those numbers were accepted and believed, many people found the lockdowns and restrictions to be to their economic and political advantage so they pushed to keep them going. No one with the power to push back against them wanted to because those are the same people who accepted the faulty Imperial model as correct.
More and more people are starting to see how insane the response to the pandemic has been but they lack to power to do anything about it, especially in places where the "public health" restrictions prohibit any sort of protest not related to black lives matter.
A century from now this event will be seen as evidence of a mass hysteria but as long as those with something to lose from admitting it was a huge overreaction are still alive, we will all be endlessly gaslighted as to what happened and why.
