I'll explain it to you what's happening:
We did a first serious lockdown in Europe and it worked like a charm, problem is the economy gets obviously shafted.
Then we took a break, people had vacations because muh holiday industry, this allowed the virus to circulate in the youngest bracket of the population, which is often asymptomatic and gives fuck all about pretty much everything because they've been raised by equally dumfuck parents.
So you now have a decent viral circulation but in a sneaky way, tracing was almost somewhat working, we're still in the month of august.
Holiday season ends, young people and yuppies come back and go back to work/school, now you have the virus in your own nation and you've tossed the lockdown results down in the shitter, we're still in september.
Viral transmission increases, public transportation and schools are overcrowded and no effective countermeasure has been implemented and, cherry on top, people didn't install any tracing app on their phones because they're fucking dumb and are afraid of privacy while they send their genitalia on the internet.
The government does not enforce digital tracing and keeps doing it the old way, with phone interviews, so good luck tracing people whom you didn't even know you came into contact.
Infections keep increasing, the tracing is shit now (this is shown by an increase in average positivity) and the average age of the infected is rising, because the older you get the more symptoms you show so they "see" you more easily.
Fun part, you can't do a new lockdown because "muh debt muh economy" and now they're bullshitting people with the "soft lockdown and personal responsability".
Surprise surprise people give fuck all about the health of other people if they're not under threat of force or the law, so we have massively sustained transmission, the hospitals are saturating and the mortality is rising because you've gotta drink at the pubs.
