Is every empirical sense capable of being digitally recreated?

This is really bugging me, /sci/, and I know you won't bullshit me about the answer.

Vision is already subject to interpretation, because it has been determined as something that is subject to manipulation by the digitation process.

That is, you can easily imagine some sort of force or electrical impulse that would activate the part of the brain that was in charge of interpreting the universe in terms of visual cues.

But does that mean that the rest of it is subject to the same weakness?

Is every detail by which we define ourselves as human subject to digitization?

Is the way I smell right now something that can be turned into a question of zeroes and ones?

And if it it is, can I do anything to change it?

Is there any input that can't be recreated as some sort of of digital simulacrum in terms of the human experience?

And if there isn't... then what does that mean?
