The central limit theorem states that the cumulant generating function of the normal distribution is a quadratic form. A lot of stupidity has been generated from misapplications of this theorem, but trying to pin the blame on the math is as ridiculous as a liar trying to excuse themself by blaming the English language for being ambiguous.
