Alright so I know fibonacci is a big fat meme but I need to 3D model one of these things. It follows the fibonacci sequence where there's 8 spirals going one way and 5 going the opposite. How would I go about modeling this?
I'm modeling this in Rhino if anyone is wondering. I need to first model spirals obviously and then copy and paste them and rotate them by 137 degrees? But what size should I make the spirals? This might be the wrong board for help with 3D modeling but I just cant comprehend the math behind it.
I found a tutorial for modeling a pinecone, which follows the same sequence, but the tutorial video I found didn't follow the fibonacci. it just have 6 sets of those pine needle like things and rotated them and made them smaller without using actual math.
Please help
