i have graduated from highschool this year, my marks are high enough to enter any pharmacy uni in my country, which the highest education i can get, is there any anon that is pharmacopolist? any advice? im not into chemistry but i think i would like it when i study it's effect on the human body.

Tell me, have you ever worked as a cashier at a dollar store? If not go do that for a while so you know what pharmacy is like. Pharmacy degrees learn the absolute bare minimum of actual pharmacology, the rest is shit like legality and how to correctly counsel legally retarded individuals how to stick suppositories up the correct hole. Do a BSc in chemistry and move onto an MSc in pharmacology.

Pharmacy is not science or mathematics intensive. The degree is soft and the career leads nowhere unless you want to pursue medicine afterwards in which case it's better to to just apply there for your undergrad. The job is no different to working in a retail store except it's understaffed to fuck and every day is irritating and busy as hell. If you're from the UK don't do it, there's barely any money to be made and you'll basically get exploited. If you're interested in doing a PhD in pharmacology you may as well study something like natural sciences or chemistry first before moving on to that. Also all the interesting industrial jobs are open to people with MD's which is an infinitely better degree choice than pharmacy.

It varies depending on your programme, you learn clinically relevant pharmacology but never go into a lot of depth.

In my program 25% of the total credits were chemistry, 25% were biology/clinical and 50% were on how to interact with customers in a way that doesn't get you sued or have your credentials revoked. I legitimately had to complete assessment items about my feelings. Our final year was "placement intensive", ie. we were required to work for free at a pharmacy 20-40 hours a week. Good luck getting a job afterwards because the pharmacy managers can just "hire" the 4th year students ad infinitum except over the semester breaks.

Fuck no, I almost immediately just used my BPharm to get an MSc in microbiology. Almost finished PhD, the poverty tier scholarship stipend is still better than I was getting.
